Once upon a time, there was a queen who had not been blessed with children by God. She would go to the garden every morning and pray to God in heaven, asking for a son or a daughter. An angel from heaven appeared to her and said: 'Be at rest, you shall have a son with the power of wishing, so that whatsoever in the world he wishes for, that shall he have.' Excitedly, she went to the king and shared the happy news with him, when the time came, she gave birth to a son, which brought great joy to the king.
Each morning, she would take her child to the garden where the wild animals were kept and bathe herself in a crystal-clear stream. On one occasion, when the child had grown a bit older, he was in her arms and she dozed off to sleep. At that moment, the old cook, who was aware of the child's wishing ability, seized the opportunity and snatched the child away, he then slaughtered a hen, spilled some of its blood on the queen's apron and dress. Afterward, he took the child to a concealed location, where a nurse was forced to breastfeed it. Then, he rushed to the king and falsely accused the queen of letting the wild beasts take away her child. Upon seeing the bloodstains on her apron, the king was convinced of the false accusation and became furious, he then ordered the construction of a tall tower where the sun and the moon were not visible, and had his wife locked inside and walled up. She was to remain there for seven years without any food or water, eventually dying of starvation. However, God sent two angels in the form of white doves from heaven to her and they visited her twice daily, bringing food until the seven-year period was over.
