Terrence Sejnowski

Dr. Terrence Joseph Sejnowski, also known as Terry, is a very smart scientist studying the brain and its workings. He works at a place called the Salk Institute and leads a special laboratory there. He is also a professor at the University of California, San Diego, where he teaches many subjects like biology, psychology, and computer science. Terry has done a lot of important things in his career. He invented something called the Boltzmann machine with another scientist named Geoffrey Hinton. They used this machine to help computers learn and solve problems. Terry has also come up with other clever ideas to analyze data and make sense of it. He even started a journal called Neural Computation, which is about studying the brain’s workings. Terry is a very important person in the field of science, and he has been recognized for his work by being elected to three important groups of scientists in the United States. He is one of only twelve scientists who have received this honor.
